Course Syllabus
Infidelity: Beyond the Lens of Addiction–2 CE Developed by Dr. Talal H. Alsaleem, PsyD, LMFT
Description of Presentation
The workshop was created to help counselors of all levels conceptualize infidelity beyond the lens of addiction. Infidelity is considered one of the most challenging issues to treat. The various manifestations of infidelity and the factors contributing to its occurrence make it difficult to develop a multifaceted framework to understand its causes and develop effective treatment. In this workshop, counselors will learn about the different theoretical models related to the etiology of infidelity such as the evolutionary biology and sociological perspectives. Counselors will also learn about the individual and group variables that affect the etiology of infidelity.
